My break into fashion started with little designs doodled into a notebook at he age of 10. I went on to study BTEC FD Art & Design and GCSE Textiles at high school, with clear intentions to work in the fashion industry. Earlier this year i completed ND Fashion & Clothing at Matthew Boulton's prestigous Fashion lab (www.bmetc.ac.uk/home.aspx) and am currently studying a Foundation diploma. During my courses at the Fashion Lab i have learnt a vast amount of experience and acclaimed a signature style.
I always achieve to portray context through visual communication, often using textile techniques and a range of media. My work also frequently involves intricate detailing, and I enyoy using fabric manipulation in my designs. It is because of this my aspirations are not to become a designer, as working in a business environment creates limitations and meeting customer needs.
After graduating from a degree in fashion communication, my ambitions are to work for a fashion magazine, writing reviews and/or columns.
